Novozymes Nebraska successfully started up a new Enzyme production facility in Nebraska, USA. The 800xA DCS uses ABB's Batch manager to supervise and control the manufacturing process using S88 Standards

Visy Paper, Melbourne, VIC

Lyon MacIntyre have successfully completed the upgrade of 800xA systems used across Visy Paper's Coolaroo site. The multi-stage project consisted of several key areas

• Upgrade of two existing 800xA systems on the Paper Machines including DCS and QCS functions.
• Installation of a new 800xA system on the Plant's Co-Generation facility
• Replacement of the outdated Siemens S5 PLC with new AC800M Controllers
• Conversion of the Siemens control logic and conversion of the S5 IO to new Profinet I/O

Upgrade of legacy MOD300 DCS with a new ABB 800xA Automation System.
A new 800xA Operator Workplace was installed over the existing MOD300 Controllers using OPC connectivity. Extensive modifications & improvements were made to the graphics response time
