We designed, configured, programmed and commissioned the control system for an anaerobic waste water treatment plant at a customer site in Franklinton, NC.
 
As part of an environmental upgrade at the plant a new anaerobic digester and waste water treatment plant was installed.
 
Due to the nature of the waste water and anaerobic reactor, accurate control of flows and precise control of levels in the water treatment plant are essential
 
Methane gas produced by the process is stored and then either flared or passed to a new on-site energy boiler for production of steam.

Lyon MacIntyre played a key role in installing and commissioning a new greefield biotechnology site in Omaha, Nebraska.

The plant makes extensive use of the S800 Batch Standard.
  • Batch functions are modular sequences of such actions as filling, heating or drying;
  • The “Recipe,” or procedural steps, are written independently of the equipment in which the actions are performed;
As the requirements of a recipe are matched up with the equipment logic, an overall production process is specified, and from this, the actual control logic can be coded. Multipurpose plants, with an array of recipes, can be run on differing sets of equipment, and the overall automation system can keep track of it all.
